The hip-bone is indeed connected to the foot-bone.
Learn which of these to favour in your clinical management progression.

Arms & Legs

Extremity techniques are often seen as uniquely relevant to problems in these particular areas.
However, the philosophy of these seminars is that although such assessment and intervention has an obvious application to such, there it also a clear rationale for making considerations of the extremities an integral part of the management of virtually all your patients.

The Lower Extremity

This seminar will help you make management decisions for almost all your patients.

Most chiropractors recognise the importance of the lower limb and the potential mechanical load from the patient’s gait/limp on the overall body mechanics. However, do you feel able to:

Assess the functional stability of the joints of the lower limb and relate how this may influence pain and discomfort higher up?

Fully understand the principles of orthotic prescription so you can either refer confidently for this service or produce them yourself?

Manage anterior knee pain and know which other elements (hip and/or feet) are influencing the condition?

With this seminar, you will be able to diagnose most lower limb conditions clearly based on an understanding of the mechanism of injury. This should allow you to logically include the lower limb in your rationale for the answers to many of the clinical questions a typical day in clinic raises, regardless of where the presenting symptoms of the patient may be located.

Tied to each joint complex and condition covered will be clear management strategies and several new treatment procedures will be presented.

On the Monday after the seminar, you will have workflows for both diagnosis and management, as well as priorities within both, which importantly make sense to you and to your patient.

The next lower extremity seminar is scheduled for:

Newcastle - Venue to be confirmed - 2nd June 2020

Maidstone (Southcote) - 4th July 2020

The Upper Extremity

  • Why should I concern myself with the upper limb of my low back pain patients?

  • Are you having trouble diagnosing and treating painful shoulders?

  • Why does my patient’s non-dominant shoulder hurt?

  • Why are some tennis/golfer’s elbows easy - and others unresponsive to my treatments?

This seminar will help you make management decisions for almost all your patients.

If there are any conditions, which physical therapists of any persuasion are reluctant to promise good results with, they are often in the upper limb.

With this seminar, you will able to bridge this gap with clear diagnoses based on an understanding of the mechanism of injury.  This should allow you to logically include the upper limb in your rationale for the answers to many of the clinical questions a typical day in clinic raises.

This seminar will present a premise for the all-important shoulder girdle stability to explain the mechanism of injury both for acute and compensatory conditions in the entire upper limb.

Tied to each condition will be a clear management strategy and several new treatment procedures will be presented.

On the Monday after the seminar, you will have workflows for both diagnosis and management, as well as priorities within both, which importantly make sense to you and to your patient.

The next upper extremity seminar is scheduled for:
